groninger is one of the leading international manufacturers of filling and closing machines for the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare and cosmetics industries.

We stand for excellent know-how, innovative solutions and partnership in special machine construction. Our machines and lines set technological standards: We offer the entire spectrum from customer-specific individual solutions to line concepts in series production.

Since the founding of the company in 1980 by Horst Groninger († 2025), we have brought groundbreaking patents onto the market, such as the rotary piston pump, the tub opening system, the segment transport system and the tub decontamination chamber. As a family company in its second generation, we now employ over 1,700 people at our Crailsheim, Schnelldorf and Charlotte (USA) sites. The company’s headquarters are in Crailsheim, Baden-Württemberg.

We are family. Since 1999, two Groninger generations have determined the fortunes of the company - the sons of the company founder take over the responsibility, Jens Groninger in Crailsheim, Volker Groninger in Schnelldorf. With this, Horst Groninger is sending a positive message to employees, customers and partners - groninger is and will remain an independent family business - now and in the future.

Jens Groninger

Jens Groninger is the second-generation managing director of the groninger group and also manages groninger & co. gmbh in Crailsheim, where the family business builds their lines for the pharmaceutical industry. The business administration graduate lives in Crailsheim and is the father of four children.

Josef Veile

Josef Veile has been technical director of groninger & co. GmbH in Crailsheim. Previously, the machine builder supported various other functions within the company: Among other things, the father of three was the technical manager of various product areas, authorized signatory, design team leader and development engineer. Born in Ellwangen, he is married and lives in Westhausen.

Volker Groninger

Volker Groninger has been the Managing Director since 2004. The mechanical engineer has been with the company since 1999. Today, the son of company founder Horst Groninger manages the plant in Schnelldorf, which focuses on the production of filling machines for the cosmetics and consumer healthcare divisions. Volker Groninger is married and has two daughters.

Philipp Hauser

Philipp Hauser has been Managing Director of groninger USA LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2022. Born in Germany, he has been living in the USA for almost 20 years. Today, he has both German and American citizenship. Hauser is married and has three grown children.

Jens Groninger

Jens Groninger has been managing director of Reinraumtechnik Ulm GmbH since 2025. With his appointment, he assumes responsibility for a company that has stood for high-quality cleanroom, isolator, and containment solutions for many years. RTU is a medium-sized family business with deep-rooted technical expertise, an experienced team, and a clear focus on customer-specific, practical solutions.
