For the second time in 2021, the anniversary ceremony took place at groninger in November and December. 37 long-standing employees from Crailsheim and Schnelldorf were honored for a total of 540 years of service. Due to the Covid pandemic, the event was divided into three dates in order to keep the respective groups as small as possible.

Despite strict compliance with distancing and hygiene regulations, the atmosphere was relaxed and familial.

“Especially in times like these, loyalty, trust and the ability to work in a team is more important than ever,” says Managing Director Jens Groninger to the jubilarians. Brother Volker Groninger adds: “Employees like you are the pillars of our company and the glue that holds our teams together.” The jubilarians ensure the reliable transfer of knowledge between young and old, between new ideas and tried and tested everyday work and, consequently, they are the decisive factor for the success of the mechanical engineering company - the managing directors agree.

As usual, both of them the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane with the jubilarians. This time too, one or the other anecdote that we thought had been forgotten came to light.

What was particularly noticeable was the intensive trips the jubilarians took fro the company.

“I traveled for groninger to almost every continent. Except for Australia,” says Sven Wurzinger, who has been with us for 25 years.

Viktor Alberg and Steffen Bleher experienced similar things, both of whom have also been with groninger for 25 years, as well as Elias Bartel, who has been working for the family business for 10 years: “Asia is still missing, but otherwise I’ve been pretty much anywhere,” Alberg says.
One thing that stands out for him - over the years he has always been able to take on new tasks and challenges. “It was never boring”, he summarizes his quarter of a century at groninger.

Jens and Volker Groninger thanked the employees for their loyalty to the company and their consistently reliable work. Company founder, Horst Groninger, who was present at one of the event, gratefully addressed his team and invited them to engage in dialog: “We have already achieved a lot together because we stuck together and were honest with one another. This will also be the secret of our success in the future. So let’s keep doing that. If there is something on your mind, come to us--our doors are always open to you.”

In the summer of 2021, groninger honored 25 employees for 340 years of service. In 2021, this increases the number of people celebrating anniversaries to 62. Together they have been with the company for 880 years.
